  • Condition: The item and its case and fittings overall in good/acceptable pre-owned condition, this piece is original and was sitting in storage for the past 50 years, I am no specialist in binoculars and I am sure they will have to be cleaned up and maintained but an Asian Arts Appraiser checked the tags and said it all appears to be authentic WWII Japanese, the item is giant and the case weighs a lot (details below), I additionally posted two photos that were taken through the lenses, nothing is rattling

    Up for sale from a recent client in Honolulu Hawaii this 1940s Japanese WWII massive
    naval binoculars in the original wooden fitted case with some other fittings and tags that give age etc (all in Japanese characters)
    .  The item comes from a estate in Maui and was stored for the past 50 years.  An Asian Arts appraiser red the tags and said it looks to be an authentic WWII item.  It shows genuine wear in the places and will need to be serviced.
