GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this handsome 1974 Porsche 914 1.8L for your consideration. This iconic vehicle comes in black over a saddle interior and presents very well. The previous owner did a fair amount of mechanical work done to it including new brakes all around including braided stainless lines/rotors/19mm master cylinder/calipers and pads. The following are also new : front suspension including turbo tie rods, torsion bars, all bushing and bearings, Koni yellow adjustable sport shocks and bump steer kit, new tires, new DCOE 40mm dual carburetors, new ignition system, rotor, coil and condenser, new fuel pump/filter and regulator, new Momo steering wheel, new exhaust from Triad Exhaust systems. The gas tank was removed and cleaned out as well. The car was repainted in 2020 and new carpeting was also installed. The infamous "Hell Hole" is rock solid. This is an excellent running and driving example and must be considered.
The Porsche 914 is a mid-engined sports car designed, manufactured and marketed collaboratively by Volkswagen and Porsche from 1969 to 1976. It was only available as a targa-topped two-seat roadster powered by either a flat-4 or flat-6 engine. Over the seven model years, Porsche made a number of changes to the 914. Some of these changes were cosmetic and others were in response to changing crash protection standards. In 1975 and 1976, the chrome or painted bumpers were replaced with heavy, rubber-covered units which actually made the cars more stable at high speeds.
