The Rossignol XC 2 cross-country ski boots are a great entry-level boot for recreational and fitness-level skiers who are looking to get out there and have some fun and get some exercise at the same time. I don't know about you, but I find XC skiing to be quite taxing, and that's one of the coolest things about it. You get to ski, travel, workout, and hang out all at the same time. It's a great activity that is all too often overlooked, and maybe that's part of the appeal. What makes a big difference in the sport is the gear. There's a huge range of boots out there, and they all have to do a few things. First and foremost, for skiers in this range is comfort, followed closely be ease of use. Performance isn't as much of a consideration at this entry-level, but those other categories really shine. With a lower cuff, you'll have free range of motion as opposed to some of the boots that have a plastic cuff, which is better for control, but not quite as comfortable. These low-cut shoes are much more similar to your running shoe than any ski boot you've ever had on your feet. For simplicity and comfort, the laces are a pretty standard system, again, much more akin to your sneakers. The lace cover does a great job at keeping snow and moisture out, allowing you to enjoy more time outside, leading to a lovlier overall cross-country ski experience.

*Returned skis that have been mounted are subject to a 20-25% restocking fee. If you are unsure about keeping the skis or your boot size we recommend shipping the skis & bindings unmounted.
Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
