newel post. With a beaded ball top finial. Has nice 3 sided large
decorative
pattern.
It is a salvaged piece so expect to find nails, nail holes, and small chunks missing. scuffs and scratches. The newel post is in a dark varnished finish
.  Does have a notch on bottom from where it was mounted.
This is a hollow newel post. Overall good solid condition. Please look over the pictures and ask questions when needed. Thanks for looking!
