KANGNAM UNIVERSITY SOUTH KOREA 1946 PEWTER PRESENTATION CHALICE VASE ORIGINAL BOX
Here offered are two Pewter Chalices and a Vase in their original fitted presentation box. These are from Kangnam University South Korea and dated 1946. The Chalices are 2 1/2" in diameter on the base and 2 1/4" on the top and 6" high. The Bud Vase is 2 1/2" on the base, 1" in diameter on the top and 7 1/4" high. The details are very good on these and thy are quite heavy for their size.  I can find no maker's mark on any of the pieces. One of the Chalices has been dropped at one time and the base is slightly out or round and the "NAM" in Kangnam has been bruised as shown. The presentation box is 11" x 9" x 3 1/2". P

Kangnam University
is a private Christian university in Yougin, south Korea
Founded July 1, 1946 by Reverend Yi Ho-bin as the Choong-ang Theology Institute, the school initially met at a lecture hall in the local YMCA in Seoul South Korea. The university holds the spirit of Gyeongcheonanein, which means 'to worship the heavens and love mankind'. The institution eventually moved in 1967 to Jangsa-dong in Seoul and then to the Daechi-dong, Gangnam-gu in 1974.
In 1976, the school was renamed the Kangnam Social Welfare School; the name, which the university kept to this day, comes from its city ward at the time. In 1980, the school moved to its present location in Yongin, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. Kangnam received its university accreditation in 1992
