RARE ORIGINAL WWII JAPANESE WAIST STRAP FOR ARISAKA SNIPER SCOPE CASE

ORIGINAL RARE WORLD WAR TWO JAPANESE WAIST STRAP FOR ARISAKA SNIPER SCOPE CASE.  This is a seldom seen waist strap for the Type 97 or Type 99 Arisaka sniper scope carrying case.  The sniper scope cases feature two separate vertical straps sewn to a ring on the reverse that buckle together to form the shoulder strap.  This is a third horizontal strap that passes through the loop on the reverse of the case (the last 2 photos is of this type of waist strap affixed to a case.  It is shown for reference purposes only, there is no case included).  This strap held the case against the wearers body to prevent swaying.  From what I have seen these waist straps are most often missing from the cases,  The strap is made of khaki/green color web.  There are some markings stamped on one side.  The strap measures about 57 inches long X 3/4 inch wide.  One side features a brown painted steel buckle and the other side has a factory sewn reinforced end tip to prevent fray.  The strap also features one web sliding keeper.  In overall very good serviceable condition showing a few small rust colored stains & soiled areas.  Here is an excellent opportunity to add this waist strap to your sniper case rig!
