RARE VINTAGE 70'S ARIA AC-18 CONCERT CLASSICAL GUITAR MIJ.
AC-18, production code 00274023, has a one piece solid cedar top with rosewood back and sides. Mahogany neck and what I believe to be a ebonized rosewood footboard. This guitar has several unique features such as a slanted wooden support behind the nut, a unique flat neck shape. Most importantly is the headstock design. This particular design was used by fame Japanese luther Masaru Matano in his Japanese workshop. That doesn't mean it was built by him but definitely under his tutelage. Full size concert guitar. Guitar show is its age with several nicks and scrapes. The major ones being pick marks under the sound hole which I tried to capture in the pictures. And two marks on the bottom of the guitar where I assume he was using a stand or leg support. Guitar plays and sounds beautifully. Great projection and sustain with a unique tone. Neck is straight and the action is incredibly low with no buzz. Strung with a new set of Augustine Reds medium tension strings. More pictures are available. Any questions feel free to ask.
