This is a model replica of the famous Tuk Tuk Taxi from Bangkok, Thailand. It is a highly detailed rendition that was handmade from plastic.
The model taxi has 3 embossed side plates that have cultural icons in Thailand: the Royal Barge, the Royal Palace, the revered Elephant, and a Tuk Tuk vehicle. The car is also marked with a "Thailand" inscription on the backside.
Each Thailand Taxi is multi-colored, representing the many vibrant styles that each owner would paint their Tuk Tuk.
Tuk-Tuks are very popular with tourists as the most exhilarating choice of getting around Bangkok city. At one time, there were no "taxies", only Tuk Tuks. They are an open air taxi that you must buckle up your seat belt and hang on. The Thai driver buzzes in and around the traffic, sometimes like a race car driver. The name 'Tuk Tuk' comes from the intermittent loud sounds of exhaust pipe as the driver accelerates like a motorcycle. They will take passengers to Bangkok's famous destinations and along the way one will see the locals living their daily lives. If you travel to Thailand, riding a Tuk Tuk is a must do experience.

Our model Tuk Tuk Thai mode of transportation is actually a wind up toy and will run on a flat surface. Just windup the 2 rear wheels, and the taxi will take right off. It comes with a gift box.
Measurement is approximately 5" long, 2" wide, 3.5" tall.
